Regular Denture Maintenance

Visit your denturist annually to ensure your dentures are in good condition. Regular check-ups are necessary for adjustments, as well as check for cracks, breaks and damages to be repaired. Upon request, we can also clean and polish your dentures.

What are some denture and oral care tips?

   Prevent dentures from drying out

  • Soak your dentures in a denture cleanser solution or plain water over night when you're not wearing them.
  • Soaking will help loosen tartar and plaque; it comes off easier when cleaned with a brush.
  • Never use hot water, as this can cause the dentures to deform.

   clean your dentures

  • Like natural teeth, tartar and plaque will build up on false teeth. Regular brushing is needed to avoid denture staining.
  • Proper cleaning will help your dentures last longer.

   Regular Mouth care

  • Brush your gums and tongue with a soft-bristled brush before wearing your dentures. This help stimulate circulation in your oral tissues. Visit your denturist regularly to maintain a healthy oral health.

When do I need to replace my dentures?

Dentures should last you around 5 years with proper care and maintenance. Wearing them for more than five years could pose a negative effect on your health. Regular check-ups with your denturist will fix issues and prevent future problems.
